This course spans over 6 hours and covers everything you need to know to become a fully fledged print maker. Throughout the day you will:

  • learn all about the different traditional lino tools and how to use them

  • how to prime your lino

  • participate in exercises to improve your understanding of mark making in relief printing

  • carve your own lino block

  • learn how to register blocks and print them precisely by hand

  • create a series of prints from the block you carved during the session

Tea, coffee and lunch can be purchased on the day from the Garlic Farm cafe.

If you have previous experience in lino printing don’t worry! Instead of spending time on the basics I can work with you to improve your mark-making, composition skills and printing/registering ability.

Due to the sharp tools and length of this course, it is not suitable for children.
